Expressions - Poetry In The Pub, brought to you by August Rush Productions, continues this Thursday 11th March upstairs at O’Grady’s on Redcliffe Street. This week we will be featuring guest poet Kimolisa Mings. The show will run from 8.00 pm to 10.00 pm. Other spoken word artists as well as musicians and singers are welcome to participate. All performers are limited to a maximum of three pieces, and can sign up either by emailing augustrush.antigua@gmail.com or calling 783-4120, 779-6643 or 780-7754. There is a small entrance fee of $5, music will be provided by DJ Nez.

The hospital has partnered with Mark Brown and the first year Art Students at the Antigua State College to showcase a thought provoking collection of artwork based on their expression of the theme “Good Samaritan”. All pieces will then be donated to the hospital following the event.
WHAT: MSJMC receives a sizeable donation of artwork based on the “Good Samaritan” theme from Mark Brown and 1st year Students at the Antigua State College.
The "Why Are Seabirds Important?" Competition

Open to all schools from Grenada to Anguilla, EPIC is offering fantastic prizes to both students and schools.
Winning students will receive the most comprehensive Caribbean bird book, 'Birds of the West Indies', a pair of binoculars, as well as their posters displayed in government offices and in the press.
The winning students' schools will also receive 'Birds of the West Indies' and $EC300 to purchase books on nature conservation.

Official slogan for Antigua'a Carnival 2010 announced
Submitted by admin on March 9, 2010 - 3:56pmThe Carnival Development Committee- CDC is pleased to announce the official slogan for Antigua’s Carnival 2010. This year’s slogan is “Bring Your Family, Tell A Friend, Antigua’s Carnival 2010”.
This slogan was used at the 2009 World Travel Market Trade Show in the United Kingdom. It formed part of the branding campaign for the 2010 Carnival festivities.
CDC Chairman Mr. Vaughn Walter stated that it is his vision that this slogan will solely capture the creativity, cultural artform and festive attitude of all patrons, participants, residents and visitors to our shores.
