Public relations Committee of the Christian Valley mango Festival is seeking your participation in our upcoming Pineapple awareness day programme to be held on 20th May. This activity is part of an ongoing promotion in tandem with the Mangofest 2010 main event scheduled for August 14th and 15th.
Your involvement would be highly appreciated as it would further demonstrate your support for the overall National initiative for import substitution, thereby giving our farmers the opportunity to increase their production and get a far higher amount of the Tourist dollars and at the same time -making a significant contribution to the National Economy.
The Event is being marked by a meet and greets at the main points of entry to the country namely the Airport and the seaport at the Heritage and Redcliffe quays where the Cruise Ships call, Field Day to the Cades Bay Pineapple Station, and several media interviews. It is also I critical that individuals become aware of the uniqueness of the National Fruit.
We are also inviting many of our Restaurants and Hotels to feature a pineapple contribution as part of their menu for the day. Your involvement will be highlighted in all of our pronouncements on the day of the promotion. The Pineapple continues to be well promoted, even through the established Norwegian Project, and we consider it to be a potential item for export.
Thanking you kindly again for your support of this important National Event.
