The Antigua Seafood Fiesta finalised.

Plans are in its advanced stage for the third seafood fiesta at the Urlings Wharf, which is planned for July 04, 2010.

Events Coordinator Marcelle Freeland-John said so far, 18 –vendors have been confirmed for the activity which began at 12 noon

The activity which co-incides with world fisherman’s Day, is an effort by the ministry of Agriculture, Lands, Housing & the Environment to promote sustainable livelihood.

The seafood Fiesta, Johns reiterated is a family affair.

“There will be lots of fun, surprises, bounce Castle for the children, and great entertainment.”

She added that in the past, patrons, complained about the lack of fresh seafood for sale.

This time around, the events coordinator noted, there would be an inclusion of the fresh product for sale.

Carefully selected food vendors, will also be there to offer a wide variety of seafood dishes and other delicacies of the sea. Included on the Menus coconut shrimp, fried oysters, crab ball, fried grouper, curried conchs, lobsters, and seafood rice.

The admission is free, and IBIS the Liveliest will be on hand to entertain the patrons as the EMC.

Among the other artiste on the entailment line-up are Lee Pee chin & Charlie X.

The Seafood Fiesta is also expected to premiere, aspects to the 2010 Mango Festival set for August 14 & 15, with a mango eating competition.
