Heritage Quay 2010 Summer Fest LunchTime LIME Pre-Launch A Success

(15th July 2010, St John’s, Antigua) Heritage Quay came alive on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th July 2010, with the prelaunch of the “Summer Festival” 2010 Lunchtime Lime” presented by the collaborative efforts of the Heritage Quay Merchants Association, LIME, Carnival Development Committee and the St John’s Development Corporation.

The event showcased a select lineup of semifinalists slated for the Party Monarch “2010” Soca Competition, sponsored by LIME, which included the voices of G-Flow, Yoko, Lyrical Reds, Samatha, Princess Thalia, Hamsta, Drastic, Ricardo Drue, Laurena and J’ana, all swinging to the sweet beats of DJ sound Vere Carbon.

Fantasy 268, the newest mas troupe to hit the scene, also made an appearance, daunting a selection of their costumes for Carnival 2010. The Heritage Quay courtyard was filled with spectators who enjoyed the rhyme and show that dawn the stage. All in attendance also had an opportunity to cash in on the wealth of unbelievable savings that was offered by the stores in the Quay specifically for the event.

These offers will be made available once again from 12:00noon until 2:00pm on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd, as well as Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th July leading into the 2010 Carnival festivities; when a second lineup of semifinalists will perform in the Heritage Quay bandstand along with a host of other mas troupes and surprise guest artists.

The grand launch of the "Summer Festival" 2010 Lunchtime LIME will take place on Wednesday 21st July 2010 and all are invited to come out to Heritage Quay to witness the festivities, enjoy lunch and grasp the opportunity to purchase their last minute carnival accessories or gift items. Perfoming artist CDs will also be on sale.
