St. John’s, Antigua, May 4, 2010 –. MSJMC along with American Hospital Management Company (AHMC), Chef 2U Events and Photogenesis Glamour Shots have teamed up to sponsor the first annual “My Favourite Nurse” award, to recognize that extraordinary caring nurse for their heroic acts, exemplary courage and commitment to their profession.

“Through our patients and their families and the general public, we want to use this award to recognize the hard work – real contributions nurses make to the care of our patients,” said Marketing & Communications Manager, Salma Crump. I want to personally encourage the community to be involved by nominating a nurse, who, in their eyes, really deserves this acknowledgement. It is often the small things that truly make a difference to our patients and their families and we would really like to hear about them.”

Nominations are welcome from members of the public or patients from now through, May 10, 2010. Nomination Forms are available at the hospital or you can send us an email to; info@msjmc.org with your full name and contact info and the full name of the nurse you’re nominating.

The award will be given at the annual MSJMC Nurses Luncheon to be held on International Nurses Day May 12, 2010. One lucky person will be invited to this event to share in the special occasion with the nurse they nominated.
