2 girls selected for the Elite Model Look semi-final on November 12, 2011

We have the pleasure to inform you that more than 30 contestants were at the Elite Model Look casting held on Monday, September 19, 2011 at the Multipurpose Centre in St. John’s.

Ultimately, 2 girls saw their dream come true as they were selected for the next step, the Elite Model Look semi-final on November 12, 2011 at Hyatt Regency Trinidad. The lucky semi-finalists chosen are:

- Krystal Benjamin / Age 19 / Height 5’11”/ Sea View Farm
- Mirium Wright / Age 17 / Height 5’9”/ Golden Grove

Youth on the Move - YOM PRESENTS EXECUTIVE MEMBERS

St John’s, Antigua (6th April, 2011) – A group of vibrant young men and women have taken the task to lead Youth on the Move (YOM) for 2011.

YOM is a non-partisan youth led action and representative group that was recently formed by youths across Antigua & Barbuda. They had been compelled to put country first by putting aside the traditional political party colours and ideology differences, all in the interests of nation building; towards a brighter and prosperous future for not only youths but the nation of Antigua & Barbuda as a whole.

WSPA announces action plan to assist thousands of animals in Japan

24 March 2011 Tokyo/ London: The World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) today announced an action plan to assist with relief efforts for the thousands of animals affected by the recent disasters in Japan. Having completed an initial assessment, the WSPA team that was in Japan last week has confirmed the potential for assistance and identified local groups best placed to deliver this support.

Methodist Church of Antigua Launches an Historical Exhibition at the National Archives

(13th December 2010, St. John’s, Antigua) In celebration of 250th year of Methodist mission and service in the Caribbean and the Americas which started here in Antigua in 1760, the Methodist Church Antigua Circuit today launched an exhibition at the National Archives chronicling the history of the Methodist Church in the Caribbean with particular emphasis on Antigua.
