St. John’s, Antigua, March 8, 2010 - Mount St. John’s Medical Centre (MSJMC) has recruited Dr. Vonetta George a young Antiguan physician to join its medical team as Senior Registrar attached to the Department of Surgery.

Info on Dr. Vonetta L. George

Dr. George completed a Residency Program in General Surgery in 2009 at the Manuel Ascunce Domenech University Hospital, Camagüey, Cuba. She received her medical degree from the higher Institute of Medical Sciences, Camagüey, Cuba in 2005 and holds a Masters in Emergency Medicine from the same institution.

Said Dr. George, “I’m honored and privilege to be a part of MSJMC family and more so a member of the surgical team. I am grateful for the opportunity to use my talents to serve others. I happily welcome the challenges ahead.”

Dr. George is grateful to her mother Ms. Ernesta Walker, extended family, friends and the government and people of the Republic of Cuba and Antigua & Barbuda for their role played in achieving her goals.
