Mount St. John’s Medical Centre (MSJMC) launches six week fitness challenge

St. John’s, Antigua, September 8, 2010 – Mount St. John’s Medical Centre (MSJMC) and Mindful Movements have teamed together to provide employees and friends of MSJMC with a “6 Week Fitness Challenge”. The primary goal of the program is to get employees and the community moving and feeling great. The Challenge will begin on October 1st, 2010 and run for six weeks.

The six-week-long event will involve; guided exercise classes four (4) days per week, health lectures/talks, supermarket guide and more.

St. John’s, Antigua, August 15, 2010 –
Mount St. John’s Medical Centre has officially announced its Volunteer Program. Members of the community are being encouraged to share their talents/time to help enhance MSJMC’s patient services. The overall program will include the following components:
• Hospital Volunteer Program: This involves individual hospital assignments.
• Corporate & Community Volunteer Program: This involves working with employees from various companies, community organizations/clubs etc. as a group.

Environmentally Friendly Detergents Now Made In Antigua & Barbuda

A new detergent, D& Y Affordable Sparkling, manufactured, packaged and distributed in Antigua & Barbuda is now on the shelves, at selected supermarkets.
The products, namely Sparkling Bleach and Sparkling dish liquid, boasts, natural fruit flavors –flowers, fresh green apples and fresh green lemon.
Individuals who have sampled the products can attest as it cleans, it refreshes, deodorizes.

St John Hospice awarded the Gweneth O'Reilly Ward

The St John (Ambulance) Association under which the St John Hospice falls, was recently awarded the Gweneth O'Reilly Ward at the old Holberton Hospital by the Government of Antigua & Barbuda to be used as a Hospice facility.
