ABI Bank/JCI Antigua Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) will once again be hosted by JCI Antigua from the period August 26th – November 8th 2010.
The program includes: Essay Writing Competition from August 26th – October 15th 2010; Maritime Day Seminar October 16th 2010; Youth Symposium - October 23rd – 9 am to 2 pm; Public and Impromptu Speaking Competition – November 6th 2010;

The Open championship category of the sixth annual Warriors Cup tournament sponsored by Harney Motors.; were Tnoy Andrew scored a quick-fire hat-trick to spur Young Warriors to emphatic 7-1 win over newcomers Young Boys on the first night of matches on Thursday. Andrew struck in the space of five devastating minutes after half-time to help Warriors’ to their come-from-behind win after Young Boys, a team made up of players from Clare Hall and Potters, had taken a surprise fifth minute lead through Omari Henry at YASCO.

Students at the Environment Division Eco –Zone Camp, being held at the Mary E. Piggott School from July 12 –August 6, were informed about the devastating effects of hunger and the role they can play to eradicate the scourge through participation in the campaign of petition signing to end hunger.

On Friday, Ministry Officials, including the Permanent Secretary Clarence Pilgrim addressed the students, on the Food & Agriculture Organization of the United Nations-led effort/petition drive, 1 billionhungry.org to reduce poverty as per the Millennium Development Goals.

Young Warriors Football Club (YWFC) today announced that Antiguan vehicular giant, Harney Motors, will be one of the sponsors of the Warriors Cup 2010 after months of negotiations.

A statement from the Club says they are delighted that Harney Motors has decided to assist with the staging of the sixth annual Warriors Cup, which will be contested from August 19-29. The preliminary round takes place at the YASCO Complex from August 19-22 and the final round is set for the Antigua Recreation Ground from August 26-29.

As part of their long-standing Scholarship Program, the International Women’s Club of Antigua and Barbuda awarded over $35,000 in grants to 10 Antiguan Women during a special afternoon tea held on 7 July at PJ’s Nursery.

The annual charity scavenger hunt and car rally sponsored by Sani Pro, themed “The Hunt”, and organized by JCI Antigua & Myst HUG held on Sunday 30th June 2010, left participants with noting but boggled minds and smiling faces. The rally brought together families and friends for a day of sweet and clean driving fun.
