Antigua to host matches on South African tour

Antigua and Barbuda will host four matches during South Africa’s tour of the West Indies next month after the country was originally excluded as a venue because of the one-year ban imposed on the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground (SVRCG) following the ill-fated 10-ball Test match against England last year.

The disclosure was made in release by the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) yesterday in which it announced the new schedule for the upcoming Digicel Series between West Indies and South Africa from 19 May to 30 June.

Women to play exhibition 20-20 match

St. John's, Antigua: Women's hard ball cricket in Antigua will get a tremendous boost when two All-Star teams take to the field and play a 20-20 hardball Exhibition match on Sunday, March 07, 2010 at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium. 22 women from various soft ball cricket clubs across Antigua have risen to the challenge and spent the last six weeks building on their cricket skills by attending practice session three times a week at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium.
